NA KLUEA, Chonburi Province, Thailand, 14 December 2019

This event is a followup to Give It 2 Get It #27, which took place back in June 2019.

Back in June 2019, Mr. Boon-Ma Kosem and his assistant, Mr. Pasakorn Klongnoi taught a group of Yannix Volunteers how to create/deploy Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs), man-made technology used to attract fish and other aquatic animals to the Na Kluea area.

On Saturday, December 14, YNX Volunteers with experience in underwater photography returned to Na Kluea to capture underwater photos in order to monitor the progress since the deployment of the FADs.

Mr. Somsong “Peak” Jitkawarn led the Volunteers to photoshoot site, but unfortunately the visibility in the sea water on the day was a distance of less than 1 metre.

However, the day wasn’t a total loss as the Volunteers managed to capture underwater images of mussels and other marine life in their element.

The Give It 2 Get It Program is grateful to the Thai Navy SEALs for helping to coordinate the underwater efforts and for providing Volunteers with the necessary SCUBA equipment.

Special thanks to Mr. Somsong for his guidance and support.

We hope for clearer waters when we return to Na Kluea in February for Give It 2 Get It #34.
