Job Descriptions
- Performs day-to-day computer and network systems operations such as performance monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
- Develops new application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
- Establishes, maintains and manages users accounts. Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server computer systems.
- Monitor data center and computer host systems including hardware and software.
- Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for the company to take advantage of new technology.
- Others as assigned by the Senior Systems Administrator
Key Competencies / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or an IT-related field
- Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and Networking.
- Mindset of IT security.
- Able to work with positive attitude.
- Good team player and have a passion to self improvement.
- Good analytical, interpersonal communication, and documentation skills.

You will work with an experienced senior system engineer to manage and maintain our technical infrastructure, which includes ~500 workstations, openAFS file server, Kerberos, Puppet, Mail Servers, Software package management for debian, firewall, Router and managed network switch (Cisco,Mikrotik), System monitoring and alert (Nagios and ELK).
Job Descriptions
- Performs day-to-day computer and network systems operations such as performance monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and repair.Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained. Applies revisions to host system Operating system, firmware and software.
- Perform security audit based on industrial standard, vulnerability scan, penetration testing and patch.
- Works with vendors to assist support activities eg. DigitalOcean, AWS etc.
- Task management, delegate task to junior sysadmin to resolve known issue.
- Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
- Oversee massive file transfer oversea and improve speed/stability.
- Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for operation staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
- Manages the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment. Plan for obsolete, replace and upgrade hardware and software.
- Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for the company to take advantage of new technology.
- Report directly to executive incharge of operations manager.
Key Competencies / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or an IT-related field
- 3-5 years of experience in systems administration on Linux based system.
- Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu), Networking, and systems integration.
