BANGKOK, Thailand, 11 December 2020

Thailand continues to maintain its status as a “low-risk” nation as the Kingdom currently ranks 151st in the World as a second wave of COVID-19 continues to spread in many regions of the globe.

Globally, the United States still ranks #1 in the world with the highest number of COVID-19 cases (15.82 million). India ranks #2 (9.76 million), and Brasil is #3 (6.73 million). Russia has surpassed France to claim the #4 ranking (2.54 million) and France closes out the Top 5 with 2.3 million.

World wide, the number of confirmed cases is 69.24 million. The total number of confirmed Coronavirus deaths worldwide is 1.57 million.

According to Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration there have been a total of 4,169 Coronavirus cases in the Kingdom, to date. The number of COVID-19 deaths in Thailand still holds at 60.
