BANGKOK, Thailand, 3 September 2020

Thailand has surpassed 100 consecutive days without a domestic case of COVID-19, according to Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration. As such, Thailand maintains its status as a “low-risk” nation.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Thailand still holds at 58. This number has remained unchanged for more than seven months.

Globally, the total number of confirmed cases is approaching the 26 million mark. The total number of confirmed Coronavirus deaths worldwide is more than 861,251.

The United States continues to rank #1 in the world with the highest number of COVID-19 cases (6.2 million) followed by Brasil at #2 (3.91 million), India at #3 (3.68 million), Russia at #4 (one million), and Peru at #5 (657,129).

In contrast, Thailand ranks 121st in the world in total of COVID-19 cases.
