According to CCSA spokesman, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, Thailand continues to maintain its status as a “low-risk” nation having gone more than 70 consecutive days without a domestic case of COVID-19, (as of Monday, August 3, 2020).
The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Thailand still holds at 58. This number has remained unchanged for more than six months.
The United States ranks #1 in the world with the highest number of COVID-19 cases (4.8 million) followed by Brasil at #2 (2.7 million) and India at #3 (1.8 million).
In contrast, Thailand ranks #110 in the world with 3,320 total cases (with 383 of those cases found in State quarantine).
